Rustic & Intimate Wedding at Wheeler’s Estate

Set away from the city, a wedding at Wheeler’s Estate feels open in a way that’s hard to find in Singapore. Wide lawns, a restored black-and-white bungalow, and long stretches of sky—it gives the day a bit more room to unfold naturally.

By evening, everything softens. The lights come on, the space feels smaller, warmer. What started off expansive becomes something more intimate.

What the couple did:

The couple wanted something different from the usual wedding morning practices, and instead opted for a sunrise shoot for just the two of them accompanied by their two best friends at The Botanic Gardens Gallop Extension, and then a rest back in their hotel at Parkroyal Pickering.

Their solemnisation was at the outdoor area in sunset hour, and they sneaked out in the middle of dinner in Cinder for couple shots under the popular tree with fairy lights.

My tips and advice for couples getting married at Wheeler’s Estate:

For your couple shots, the best timing is from 6pm onwards For most couples this is right after their outdoor solemnisation at 530pm. The outdoor area has great sunset light.
Make time for night shots. The popular Wheeler’s Estate tree lights up beautifully at night. Recommended for couples to sneak 15mins away from their dinner schedule to take some shots.
